Are you fascinated by stories of miracles and divine intervention? Have you ever wondered about the incredible and awe-inspiring testimonials that come from the Catholic faith? If so, you're in for a treat!
When we lose something, how do we go about finding it? Whether it's our key, wallet, phone, or the notorious missing sock, normally we think about the places we most likely left it and search in each one until we find it, tending to start at the places most likely and continuing to increase the number of places we search until we are finally successful.
We may search the living room, our coat pockets, the dining room, the kitchen, our pants pockets, our car, our bedroom, call up the restaurant we just got back from, and shakedown our cat, but what happens if even then still we can't find it? We know that it has to be somewhere, and so we continue increasing the number of places we search: We look in the bathroom, check under the couch, see if it got in the fridge, and now interrogate the squirrel in our tree outside. We do this because we know that every place we search has a nonzero chance of having our item, and therefore the more places we search, the higher the chance of us finding it. In the end, we only one place we search to be the location of our lost beloved for us to be successful!
This illustrates a principle I want us to take away: There are many situations in life where we may make many attempts, but we only need one to be successful for that success to last forever. The more attempts we make the higher the chances of one being successful, to the point that if we make enough attempts, one of them is inevitably going to be true. This was and is true for
Einstein, who made > 1,000 lightbulb variations and only needed 1 to work and forever change society
Paulina Bandy, who failed the bar exam 13 times before finally passing 1 time and becoming a lawyer
Dying — once you go you can't come back
And it is also true when you search every room in the house until you finally find your keys between the couch cushions.
Well, what do we search for and make more attempts to attain in this life than God and this universe's truth, happiness, meaning, and peace? Unfortunately, there are many places we look that have a 0% chance of Him being there. However, if you want to narrow down His location, and look at a wellspring of places with very high chances of His presence, look no further than the purported miracles He has performed. And you're in luck, because there are so many miracle claims that the chances of 1 being true, and of you finding God there, increases to 100%.
Here's a list of Christian miracle claims (not meant to be thorough details on the claims, but rather just a list of well supported ones):
Eucharistic miracles:
St. Januarius's blood liquefying every year: https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/259381/st-januarius-blood-liquefies-in-naples-on-his-feast-day
Personal testimonies:
If just 1 of these miracles are true, then that proves the Christian God is real.
These miracles will be more and more documented on this site over time.
Very powerful.
